Pattern Mixing Rookie

tee/jeans: Old Navy, tank: Forever 21, scarf: Giant Eagle, shoes: Kmart

Well I did it: I pattern mixed and nobody yelled “you don’t match!!” at me, which I think I was convinced would happen. I’ve noticed that when I see other bloggers pull this trend off effortlessly, I’m drawn to the mixtures of patterns that are calmer tones. When I realized that I had the pieces to do the same thing, I decided to give it a try!

  2. I love this pattern mixing you did here! The soft neutrals are perfect together and not competing, but the scarf and shoes also add a fun pop of color - great combination! I also love how you wrapped your scarf - it looks so cozy and effortlessly draped. :)

  3. Looks great. The pink shoes and the pink dots in the scarf tie the outfit together nicely.

  5. You did good! It's subtle and I think that's the best way to do pattern mixing. Love your shoes and scarf!
