Inspiration

After being off of work since 5pm on December 20th, it was really hard to think about returning to deal with phone calls, voicemails, and emails let alone all the stressful situations we help students through. Thankfully today wasn't too bad though! Those almost two weeks of being unplugged and having zero expectations to work on anything work related was so refreshing. Although I spent the first week either preparing for or celebrating Christmas with family, the past week has been a great opportunity to recharge and focus on me. I've started and almost finished a book, got some things done around the house, hung out with friends, and was finally feeling inspired again to plan some outfits I'm excited to wear. That seems like something so little, but when you're so distracted by your never ending to-do list, it's hard to care about what you're throwing on each day, isn't it? I know you guys get it! So here's hoping I can keep things interesting in the wardrobe department.  Because I certainly feel better tackling that to-do list when I get to wear an outfit I feel great about!

  1. Here's to 2014! I've been trying to find the balance between not getting stressed about putting outfits together but still loving what I wear. I really like this outfit, the peek of the red belt is perfect!

    1. Thanks Valerie! I'm an Academic Advisor at a local university. I'm so thankful they actually give the employees the same winter break we give our students. :)

  3. This outfit is beyond adorable! I'm the worst at toning down my style for work...I totally need to copy the crap out of this! I love the white on white with the pop of the red belt!

  4. White on top and Black on the bottom is always a classic, chic look that never goes out of style. Adding a pop of Red makes it even better. You look great. Happy new school year and semester!!
