Well I did it: I pattern mixed and nobody yelled “you don’t match!!” at me, which I think I was convinced would happen. I’ve noticed that when I see other bloggers pull this trend off effortlessly, I’m drawn to the mixtures of patterns that are calmer tones. When I realized that I had the pieces to do the same thing, I decided to give it a try!
i am a pattern mixing rookie too, jess! i have only done it one other time. i like this look though, it works! and those shoes look really cute!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern mixing you did here! The soft neutrals are perfect together and not competing, but the scarf and shoes also add a fun pop of color - great combination! I also love how you wrapped your scarf - it looks so cozy and effortlessly draped. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great. The pink shoes and the pink dots in the scarf tie the outfit together nicely.

I think this pattern mixing works really well! I love that you kept it mostly in neutrals with just some hints of color.

You did good! It's subtle and I think that's the best way to do pattern mixing. Love your shoes and scarf!
