30 for 30 Day 26: Best Monday Ever

sweater: Target, skirt & tights: Kohl's, boots: JCPenney, necklace: gift
Today was awesome. I worked half a day this past Saturday, so I got to choose a day this week to leave at noon. I chose today because it worked best for my schedule, and it was wonderful to walk out of there at lunchtime today, with an empty inbox no less - making it much easier to enjoy the afternoon! I stopped at Trader Joe to finish my grocery shopping for the week, then took the time to go thrifting a little bit. I had forgotten how much I missed that! I can't wait to show you guys what I found once the 30 for 30 challenge is completed. :)

  2. Ooooo can't wait to see your thrift finds! I've decided I need a skirt like this in all the colors after seeing the different ways you've styled yours during the 30 x 30.

    1. You would wear them forever! I love pencil skirts because they're so classic and so professional looking. My suggestion is to look for ones with a little bit of stretch...this one doesn't have it and I definitely notice the difference. Getting out of the can be a challenge! haha

  3. Nice! Those are the best kind of days! I am taking this Friday off for no special reason other than I had the time to do it! I think I'll go thrifting too! I can't wait to see what you found!

I love your mustard skirt and your necklace!

  5. Half days are the best! We had an in-service today, so I was out of the building by 11:30. Love the purple and yellow on you!

    1. I love them, but it feels so weird to leave the office when everyone else is just getting ready for lunch. :) I hope you enjoyed your afternoon off of work too!

    1. It is pretty wonderful to be about 2 miles away from Trader Joe's. My parents don't have one anywhere even close to their house, so my dad always sends me his grocery list when he knows I'm making a trip home soon. :)

  8. Half days are the best! I work from 5am-2pm, so I always try to squeeze in a little thrifting after work when I can :)

    1. Oh my gosh! I would love to get off work at 2pm, but that 5am start time would be killer! Afternoon does seem like the best time to go thrifting though. :)
