scarf: World Market, dress: thrifted, leggings: Walmart, boots: JCPenney |
I'm sure everyone else who is experiencing snow in April is just as irritated as I am about it, but I'm taking the opportunity as a perfect excuse to wear this new sweatshirt dress and boots for what I hope is the last time this year! Plus this dress let's me join in on Heidi and Marissa's spring pantone link up since today's color is paloma - a shade of gray. My favorite! :)
Love this dress! And you are a patient soul for wearing boots--I refused to wear them today, even though it was definitely cold enough. I'm so glad you've joined us again this time! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Marissa!! And after that day I was officially done with the tall boots. :)
DeleteHoly cow, I was just complaining about it still being cold in Texas, I can't even imagine snow. It's almost MAY for gosh sake's! I've become obsessed with sweatshirts in recent months and you have no idea how jealous I am that you have a sweatshirt that does not limit you to the couch or a gym (I prefer the couch.)
ReplyDeleteYou paired it perfectly with the tights and boots and I love your bright scarf! Sending you warm thoughts!
Thanks Ana! I'm so thankful that we've had some gorgeous weather since then so I can't complain too much anymore. :) This dress was such a good find...I can't wait until I can just throw it on with some cute flats and no tights, maybe even some cute sneakers on the weekend. :)
DeleteLove, love this dress! I don't love this weather, but how could you not love a sweatshirt dress? Super cute!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this find!
DeleteI love the idea of sweater dresses, but I'm afraid they would just look frumpy on me. I think the scarf was a great way to add some interest to this outfit, and keep it from looking plain or frumpy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate! I've found that I like the looser fit for dresses recently, and a blazer is my go to idea for adding some structure to an outfit.
DeleteYep, snow in April is just LAME! But we did have snow in May last year, so I'm just hoping that doesn't happen! This dress is so cute! I've never had a sweatshirt dress, but it sounds like a very cozy idea!
ReplyDeleteIn May?! I couldn't even imagine!!
DeleteEvery dress should be a sweatshirt dress! I love this one on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Whoever thought to make these in sweatshirt material is an absolute genius. :)
DeleteThis dress is cute! At least you have it to cheer you up with terrible weather!
ReplyDeleteThanks Inge! It definitely made a difference that day...made the cold a little easier to deal with. :)
DeleteI think I need a sweatshirt dress - it looks darling, but is as comfortable as pajamas...that's my kind of dress!!! I love it with the pink scarf as well :)
ReplyDeleteYes, everyone should buy one! :) I was a little unsure about wearing it to work, especially during the week but decided just to go for it..haha!
Deletethanks for joining our linkup today, jess! this dress looks so comfortable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi!!
DeleteGirl, where have you been? I missed you. You look lovely in such a fun and comfy striped dress. I hear you about the cold and the snow. Though no snow in my parts, it has been so freaking cold. I knew doing a 30 for 30 challenge in April would have been a weather-related challenge too.
ReplyDeleteAnyway stop by when you like and Happy Easter! <3 Ada.
Thanks Ada - you're too kind!! Trying to come back to blogging more consistently, just have had a hard time lately. I'm definitely stopping by your blog to catch up!
