A Non-Maternity Outfit!

Well here it is, the first real outfit I managed after having Jacob and all I can remember is that I threw these boots on in a rush to get out the door to his session for newborn pictures and when I stood up I got really excited because I realized that's the easiest I've put on a pair of shoes in months! :) But really, by the time I wore this outfit I was two and a half weeks postpartum and thankful for fitting into non maternity pants (although they're not buttoned and kept in place by one of those bands!) and for loose fitting shirts like this one. These kinds of shirts have been my favorite for quite awhile because I think loose fitting tops balance outfits with skinny leg pants and that's mostly what I wear, but think I'll love this combination even more now because it's pretty forgiving in the stomach area and who doesn't want that as they're recovering from having a baby?!

  1. I am still recovering in the stomach area, and my youngest is almost 8!! I love this outfit, and wow do you look fabulous!

  2. I used to get so frustrated with the abundance of roomy tops out there, but lately that's all I want to wear. I blame it on all the mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving. They are my #1 weakness.

  5. I love loose tops anytime. You look great. My first outfit exactly 2 weeks postpartum was very similar. I wore a lose sweater over a tank with riding boots and a pair of leggings.

  6. Hooray for looser tops! I feel my best when I'm wearing slim/skinny-fitting bottoms (I love my legs and butt, haha) and looser tops (I DON'T love my stomach region, haha again), so I totally love this. You are looking good, mama!

  10. They're so comfortable, aren't they?! I think I bought them not long before getting pregnant so they didn't get much use before they didn't fit anymore. I'm happy to have them as another non-denim option for this winter though because I think their fit will make them perfect to pair with tall boots!
