30 for 30 Day 6: Strategy

shirt/sweater/belt: Target, skirt and shoes: Kohl's, tights: Walmart

When I saw this skirt in Kohl’s, I just had to have it. I love pencil skirts because I think they’re timeless, and I thought the mustard color was a good addition to my closet. What I’ve learned though, is that pencil skirts without any stretch require some strategy. You have to just accept that there will be no rushing around that day because big strides are not possible, and that getting in and out of your car is a little bit more of an ordeal. Verdict? Totally worth it.

  4. Ha ha! I have found the same thing about getting in and out of the car! It's kind of funny. But otherwise yes, pencil skirts are awesome!! I love yours - the mustard color is perfection! I haven't been in Kohls in awhile, I think I need to go!

  6. seeing how good you look here makes me wonder why you ever want to wear sweats and hoodies. I mean this could be a look that you could do everyday if you really wanted to. Not that you have to do your hair like that everyday but that look even with your hair up would still be stunning.

Think of that. you would look amazing everyday!!!

  8. Haha, I know what you mean. I love the look of a good pencil skirt, but I sometimes feel like I waddle in them more than walk like a lady!

  10. So fun that you're doing a 30 for 30, I can't wait to keep seeing your remixes! I'm too much of a baby to do one myself, but I like living vicariously :) Great skirt too, and haha about not being able to move fast - I always think about that when wearing pencil skirts, like "am I going to have to sit anywhere precarious, or move quickly today?"
