Challenge Accepted

skirts + the tops
work pants
casual pants

Happy New Year everyone! I swear I was going to post my New Years Eve outfit, but then my camera battery died. I re-created the outfit this morning, but pre-coffee Jess just wasn't acceptable. Please forgive me...it wasn't that exciting of an outfit anyway! I'm much more excited to talk about the 30 for 30 I'm starting tomorrow anyway. (That's right, I said tomorrow because that's when I go back to work and New Years day is intended for lounging in sweatpants, right?!)

Sam is getting ready to start her second round of 30 for 30, so when she invited others to join her, I decided to go for it. After coming up with at least 30 outfit ideas from the pieces above so I knew that I could pull it off of course! Here's my twist on the rules:

- Shoes don't count. They probably should, but I'm sorry, I just couldn't bring myself to include them!

- All accessories are fair game to wear, that includes all belts, scarves, purses, jewelry.

- If I decide to switch out an item I can do that, as long as it's before it's been worn for the first time in the challenge.

- I can wear all the sweatpants, tees, and hoodies I want - as long it's inside my house. If I leave the house, it has to be in an outfit made up of the items included in the 30 for 30.

So what do you think? I'm nervous, but there's no turning back now! :)

  1. I always enjoy watching these types of challenges progress. Mostly because I can't fathom being limited to 30 items! You go, girl! You're gonna rock it! :o) I especially like the black sleeveless top trimmed with leopard print and the black vest with satin.

    1. Thanks Jana! I do feel like I'm cheating a little bit by not including shoes, but oh well! :)

    1. I'm excited to see your outfits! I'm telling you, I need to remember the dress as a skirt look that you pulled off so well. :) I'll have to remember that once the 30 for 30 is over!

  5. You included some amazing pieces for your 30x30..that cobalt sweater is gorgeous! I rocked some cobalt today for MY first day of the 30x30...it's one of my favorite colors and I love that you incorporated a few items in that hue :) Good luck and I can't wait to see your outfits!

  7. Oh I LIKE your rules! No sweats out of the house, especially. I'm a hoodies and sweats girl at heart! And I totally agree with the swaps. Sometimes things just happen - last time I had two swaps. None yet *crossing fingers* but I'm sure the 30 I start with won't be the 30 I finish with!

    1. Thanks Samantha! I used to be the worst, I would grocery shop every week in my sweatpants...hehe. I'm so much better now and usually wear jeans, but let myself wear yoga pants occasionally - not this month though! :)

  8. I think this will be a great challenge. It's great that you've mixed up the rules just a little to fit your schedule. I need to remember to be more flexible with the details during remix challenges. Can't wait to see what you put together. Looks like some great pieces!!

    1. Thanks Callie! I'm sure I could've challenged myself a little bit more, but I still think I'll have to get creative.

  12. Hi Jess. I love seeing bloggers doing these kinds of challenges. And I see you are sorrounded by a bunch of girls this time around. I am sorry I cannot follow suit. I am due to give birth within this month and right now is not the right time for such a challenge. I was thinking in Mid to Late Spring or later. ;-) I also like that each one of you tweaked the rules a little bit to fit your own comfort level.

I hope you had a Great NY Eve.

Miss you on my page, Ada. =)
