Black and Tan

shirt: Walmart, belt: Kohl's, skirt: thrifted, shoes: Target

This is probably the tannest I've been since spring break 2006, so I figured I'd take advantage and wear a skirt to show off my legs today. :) This year I've really come around to the idea of mixing black and brown as long as it's more tan than brown. When I got to work today, a co-worker/friend made a comment about how the shoes tie the belt into the outfit and I think she's right!

  1. Adorable as usual! Yay the target leopard flats :) I think those with the belt definitely tie it all together.

  2. I wish I could tan. You look fantastic! I love how you added the belt, which is so figure flattering.

    1. My in-laws all tan so easily, so I spent a lot more time hiding out under the tent than they did to make sure I didn't burn! :)

  3. I love that skirt! So jealous that its thrifted. You look fantastic. And I agree, as long as the brown is more tan than brown, it looks awesome!

    1. Thanks Clare! I'm so glad you think the same way I do, that tan is a much better color to pair with black than brown!

  4. This is a great look for work! And your tan is great - I typically burn, so I don't do too much in the form of tanning!

    1. Thanks Beth! I spent a lot of time under the tent and almost the whole week in a hat to make sure I didn't burn! And of course, SPF 50 all week too. :)

    1. Thanks Callie! I really loved these colors together and I think leopard print is about to be considered a neutral in my book. :)
