Red + Pink

DSC02015
pink shirt: H&M, sweater: Old Navy, pants: Discount Fashion Warehouse (Express brand), shoes: Target, necklace: Charming Charlie

I celebrate Valentine’s Day in a low-key fashion, both by how my husband and I choose to celebrate the holiday and how I dress for the holiday. :) This pink button up was included in my 30x30 and finally made it out of the laundry and back into my closet! (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can read about it in my recap post from Tuesday). By layering a neutral sweater over the pink shirt then adding the red necklace, I think I was able to be just subtle enough while still festive enough to allow me to join in on the link-up hosted by Andi, Inge, Brynn, Kate, Danielle, and Laura.

Apparently I like this sweater paired with some leopard print!

  4. Oooo...I like those flats. They're a little fancy. (I think I always associate pointy toe with fanciness. I don't really know why.) And this is a great color combination; I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to color combinations. :)

  7. This is adorable! I'm never too obnoxious about Valentine's Day (neither my husband nor I care for it too much), and while I'm okay with some festiveness, I can never deal with the onslaught of pink and red. This is just the right amount without being saccharine-sweet. Well done!

  8. That sweater is great. Looks lovely with a light pink button-down and the addition of the fun red necklace. Low key but pretty. =)

Looking forward to Friday. Read my E-Mail.

  9. I'm just getting caught up right now, Jess, so I apologize for this coming so late! I adore this outfit so much! I have this same sweater, and I think I need to copy this outfit with my red polka dot oxford that I wore on the first day of this Valentine's Week challenge! Thanks for the inspiration ;)
